Effective date: August 16, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CheckCOA website, apps, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by CheckCOA (“CheckCOA”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
CheckCOA is a verification aggregator for collectibles certificates (COA/LOA) and grading certifications. We help you retrieve and view certificate information from supported third-party providers in a structured, easy-to-read format.
Important: CheckCOA does not authenticate items, issue COAs/LOAs, grade collectibles, or provide appraisal/valuation services.
CheckCOA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to PSA, Beckett, CGC, SGC, TAG, Wata, Fanatics, Upper Deck, or any other authentication/grading provider (each a “Provider”).
All Provider names, trademarks, logos, and related marks are the property of their respective owners.
The Service displays information obtained from Providers’ official sources (e.g., public databases, pages, APIs, or other official endpoints), without altering the meaning of the underlying data.
Providers are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, availability, and timeliness of their data. CheckCOA does not guarantee Provider results and is not liable for errors, omissions, or outages originating from Providers.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your region) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent you have authority to bind it.
You can create an account using Google sign-in or email/password. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
Passwords are hashed and are never stored in plain text.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under your account.
CheckCOA may offer different scan/check types that consume different quotas/credits:
The Service may include free and paid plans with monthly/annual quotas for AI Scans and Manual Checks. We may also offer one-time packs of checks that do not expire unless explicitly stated at checkout.
If you reach your quota:
We may change plans, quotas, or pricing prospectively. Any changes will apply at renewal or as otherwise required by law.
Payments are processed by Stripe (our payment processor). CheckCOA does not store full payment card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime via your account billing page; cancellation stops future renewals (you keep access until the end of the current paid period unless stated otherwise).
Refunds: Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may issue refunds at our discretion (e.g., duplicate charge, technical failure clearly attributable to CheckCOA). Provider outages typically do not qualify.
You agree not to:
You may upload images, notes, prices, tags, and collection metadata (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.
You grant CheckCOA a limited license to host, store, process, and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service.
Providers may block traffic, rate-limit, change formats, or restrict access in certain regions. CheckCOA may use server-side retrieval to display official data where possible, but we cannot guarantee access for every Provider, region, or time.
The Listing Builder lets you connect your own eBay seller account and create listings from items you have verified with CheckCOA. CheckCOA is an eBay API developer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent of eBay Inc. eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc.
What connecting authorises
Connecting uses eBay’s own OAuth screen; you sign in at eBay and CheckCOA never sees your eBay password. We request the minimum scopes the feature needs:
We do not request access to your orders, buyer messages, payouts, or feedback.
Nothing is published without your confirmation
CheckCOA first creates an unpublished offer, which no buyer can see and which incurs no eBay fees. A listing becomes live only after you confirm the publish step. Once it is live, eBay’s insertion, final value and optional upgrade fees apply to you directly under your own eBay seller agreement.
You are the seller
You are solely responsible for every listing published through your account, including its title, description, photographs, category, item specifics, condition, price and shipping terms, and for compliance with eBay’s policies and applicable law. CheckCOA builds the listing from the certificate data you verified and from what you enter or approve; it does not authenticate the item, does not warrant that a listing will be accepted by eBay, and does not set your price.
Descriptions are drafted by an automated system from verified provider facts and are shown to you before publishing. Review them. You must not publish a listing you have not checked.
Photographs
Photographs you add are uploaded to eBay Picture Services so eBay hosts them. For a graded item, the grading company’s photographs of the slab bearing your certificate number are added to the listing gallery by default, because they show the exact object you are selling; you may remove any of them before publishing, and you remain responsible for your listing’s photographs under the grading company’s own terms. For an autograph, an authenticator’s photograph is added only after you confirm that it shows the exact item you are selling and that you have the right to use it on eBay. We recommend adding your own photograph of the item as it is today. CheckCOA verification images are never added to eBay listings.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect at any time from CheckCOA’s eBay settings, or revoke CheckCOA directly in eBay under My eBay → Account → Sign in and security → Third-party app access. Disconnecting stops all further access and deletes the stored tokens; it does not end listings that are already live, which you manage on eBay. We also honour eBay’s marketplace account deletion notifications and delete the associated data we hold.
Access tokens are stored encrypted, are never sent to your browser or app, and are used only to carry out actions you initiate.
The Service, including software, design, and content (excluding User Content and Provider marks), is owned by CheckCOA and protected by law.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF THIRD-PARTY DATA. CHECKCOA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT RESULTS WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT PROVIDER DATA WILL BE AVAILABLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHECKCOA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR PROVIDER DATA.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CheckCOA from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Effective date” and may notify you of material changes.
