Beckett BAS lookup guide for stickers, COAs and legacy QR codes

Old Beckett get-data QR codes and manual BAS numbers now use the same lookup path; use the result to compare the record with the actual signed item.

How do I check an old Beckett QR code that contains a get-data link?

Scan the complete QR code above the form. Legacy Beckett stickers often encode an official beckett-authentication.com/get-data/ address followed by the certificate number. CheckCOA reads that number and starts the BAS lookup automatically, using the same result path as manual entry. You do not need to open the provider page or press Verify a second time. If the camera cannot read a damaged code, type the certificate shown on the sticker; both methods should return the same provider record when it is available.

What is the difference between Beckett BAS and BGS?

Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) covers autographs and signed memorabilia, including COAs, LOAs, authentication stickers and legacy get-data QR codes. Beckett Grading Services (BGS), along with BVG or BCCG labels, covers graded cards in slabs. The databases and expected result fields are different. Use this BAS page for an autograph sticker or COA. If the item is a graded-card slab and you need the grade or serial record, use the Beckett Grading lookup.

Where is the Beckett autograph certificate number, and how should I enter it?

The BAS certificate number is normally printed on the authentication sticker and may also appear on the COA or LOA. Enter the full prefix and digits exactly as printed, but remove spaces introduced by line breaks or typography. For example, do not drop a leading letter because the remaining digits happen to look valid. When buying remotely, request a straight, well-lit close-up of the number and a second photo showing where that sticker sits on the signed item.

What should match in a Beckett autograph lookup result?

Start with an exact certificate-number match. Then compare the signer name, item type and any description returned by the provider source with the signed object and accompanying paperwork. A record for a signed photo should not be accepted as support for an unrelated jersey simply because the number exists. Also compare sticker placement and the seller’s full-item images. If the source returns only limited details, the lookup still confirms less than a record with a specific signer and item description, so adjust your confidence accordingly.

Why can a Beckett BAS certificate show no result?

Recheck every letter and digit, remove spaces, and confirm that you selected BAS rather than BGS. A QR may be damaged even when the printed number remains readable. Temporary provider errors, recently issued records or incomplete older data can also produce a blank result. Retry manual entry once; repeated scans of the same code will not improve the source record. If the number remains unavailable, ask the seller for the complete sticker, COA or LOA photos and obtain provider confirmation before a high-value purchase.

Does a matching Beckett certificate number prove the autograph is genuine?

No. It shows that the number corresponds to a record available from the provider source. A real number, sticker image or COA can be copied and reused with another object. Check the returned signer and item details, compare the sticker and paperwork with the physical item, review seller history and search for duplicated listing photos. CheckCOA adds a Fraud Alert screen for reported compromised numbers, but neither a clean alert screen nor a database match replaces inspection of the autograph and provenance.

Can CheckCOA help spot fake or reused Beckett certificates?

Yes. Every Beckett lookup is screened against CheckCOA's Fraud Alert database of 25,000+ known fake, stolen, reused and compromised certificate records. This helps flag known fake COAs, counterfeit slabs, reused serial numbers and other reported risk signals, but it does not replace expert authentication.
