Why does the camera ask for permission again?

CheckCOA only asks the browser for camera access when you tap Camera. After allowing it once, choose Allow for checkcoa.com in your browser’s site settings so future scans can start without another permission prompt.

  • iPhone/iPad Safari: tap aA in the address bar, open Website Settings, and set Camera to Allow.
  • Chrome, Brave, or desktop Safari: use the lock or camera icon in the address bar and set Camera to Allow.

If you use Private Browsing, clear website data, or choose Ask each time, the browser may ask again. Camera access is controlled by the browser and device settings, not by your CheckCOA account.
